Detection Rate: 30%

Characteristics:

  • Subtle green glow (0.4 intensity)
  • Small size (0.3m sphere)
  • Gentle floating behavior
  • 2m movement range
  • Slower, calmer motion

Voice Lines:

  • "Biological residue detected..."
  • "Analyzing alien DNA markers..."
  • "Acid blood trace: POSITIVE"
  • "Sample secured for analysis..."

Behavior: Represents biological evidence of alien contact. Floats peacefully while being analyzed. Lifespan: 15 seconds

ACTIVE XENOMORPH

Detection Rate: 20%

Characteristics:

  • Aggressive acid-green glow (0.8 intensity)
  • Larger size (0.5m sphere)
  • Erratic, aggressive movement
  • 3m movement range
  • Frequent direction changes

Voice Lines:

  • "*HISSSSS* Containment failing..."
  • "*screeches* Acid blood detected!"
  • "WARNING: Organism highly hostile!"
  • "CONTAINMENT BREACH IMMINENT!"

Behavior: Represents live alien organism. Moves aggressively, attempting escape. Laser tracks it until containment fails. Lifespan: 20 seconds

System Requirements:

  • Main scanner object (linkset with cylinders and back panel)
  • Two specimen objects in scanner inventory
  • Animation files: "tpose" and "apose"
  • Object rezzing rights on parcel
  • Animation permissions from avatar

  • Link 1: Root prim (main body)
  • Link 2: Back panel (laser source)
  • Links 3-6: Rotating cylinders
  • All components coordinated via link numbers

Installation Steps:

  1. Build or place scanner mesh/prim structure
  2. Create two small sphere objects for specimens
  3. Name them "Alien Trace" and "Active Xenomorph"
  4. Add specimen scripts to respective objects
  5. Place both specimen objects in scanner inventory
  6. Add main detector script to scanner
  7. Add animations to scanner inventory
  8. Adjust REZ_OFFSET in script if needed

  2. Avatar sits, T-pose animation plays
  3. Scanner announces scan initiation
  4. Particles and cylinders activate
  5. Progress updates every 3 seconds
  6. Result announced (clear/trace/active)
  7. If detected: specimen spawns, laser activates
  8. Specimen speaks, floats, then vanishes
  9. Avatar automatically unseated after countdown
